A new perspective on nature
With the realization that life and economic activity in global capitalism are irreversibly changing the Earth's ecosystem, many common notions about nature have been shaken. The effects of the climate crisis show that nature in the 21st century is no longer ‘natural,’ but is affected in every way by human activity. So how do we view nature today, whose condition is inextricably linked to the social and political characteristics of our lifestyles? Together with the Crespo Foundation, C/O Berlin is awarding the After Nature . Ulrike Crespo Photography Prize to two artists, selected by an international jury. Each of the two artists will receive an exhibition and a publication. These are produced in the most environmentally friendly way possible, using natural materials and simple processing.
