Olaf Heine – Human Conditions

Olaf Heine is an artist, photographer and filmmaker. He began his photographic career as a self-taught photographer and over the last thirty years has amassed an extensive body of photographic work, book publications, music videos, short films, commercials and documentaries, and public exhibitions. He has been awarded various prizes - including the Echo Award - and his photographic works are part of renowned public and private collections. Naroska conceived and designed the book Human Conditions in close collaboration with Olaf Heine. The book shows a cross-section of his work of the last decades and contains both free and commissioned works. Among those portrayed are personalities such as Cate Blanchet, Iggy Pop, Lang Lang, Oscar Niemeyer, Julian Schnabel, Monica Bonvicini and many more. In addition to the texts, the book also contains some quotes from the portrayed.
