Between 1980 and 2000, Stephan Erfurt realized numerous image series in various magazines that established his international reputation. A work full of narration and poetry emerges, sometimes melancholic-tender, sometimes in a hard depiction of reality. Erfurt often focuses on the atmospherically dense detail, as a curious observer of the world he formulates like an essayist. His photographs are shown in the book not only as pictures but also in the form of double pages of magazines in which the photographs were published. The book was designed by Naroska and edited by Felix Hoffmann and Mathias Harder.
